Balance sheet

The policy

Buy rules and signers.

What the treasury can buy, who signs, and when anything can be sold.

Catalog · Out of print

The stuff that survives.

Drag any box to turn it over. Reference prices are third-party figures.

Supply · One direction

Supply only goes down.

Opened boxes can't be resealed, and closed print runs add nothing.

MODEL IT

Example inputs. Real unit counts for these products aren't published. Lower supply only matters if demand holds.

WHAT CAN BREAK IT

ReprintsA new print run adds sealed units. Recent sets are most exposed.
Warehouse findsOld stock can surface and add supply nobody counted.
Resealed fakesThey look like new supply and distort prices.
Economics · Sealed as an asset

The case for sealed.

Why unopened product behaves differently from cards, and what can go wrong.

SUPPLY

Fixed, then fallingA print run ends and no more of that product is made. From then on the sealed count can only shrink.
Opening is permanentEvery box opened for its cards leaves the sealed pool for good. Ripping on stream turns supply into content.
Attrition adds upDamage, loss and poor storage remove more units every year, mostly unseen.

DEMAND

Nostalgia with incomeKids who opened packs in 1999 and 2016 are now adults with money, and they buy back what they remember.
A living gamePokémon is still the biggest trading card game, so new collectors keep discovering old sets.
Openers compete with holdersPeople who want the cards inside buy boxes to open them, which pulls supply out of the market.

WHAT "DEFLATIONARY" MEANS HERE

The number of sealed units deflates, and that part is mechanical. Price is a different question: it rises only when demand grows faster than supply falls. Vintage boxes show what that looks like at the top. A Skyridge box sold for $212,500 and an Expedition box for $112,500 at auction in June 2026. Modern sets like Evolving Skies now trade far above their release price. But not every set has done that, and prices fell hard after the 2021 boom.

A REAL MARKET

What makes it one

Physical, finite products with major auction houses, public sales records, daily price trackers, and authentication services. It is a collectibles market like sports cards, comics and watches, and it is global.

What it isn't

Sealed product pays no income, costs money to store and insure, and can take months to sell at a fair price. Values are estimates between sales.

WHAT WORKS AGAINST IT

ReprintsA new print run resets scarcity for that product.
FakesResealed boxes are common, so authentication is essential.
FadsHype cycles inflate and deflate prices quickly.
LiquidityFew buyers at the top end means wide spreads.

2. TreasuryA set share goes to the multisig treasury.
3. PurchaseOnly screened, authenticated, out-of-print sealed product.
4. VaultHeld unopened in insured custody, listed on the ledger.

SOURCING

Auction housesMajor collectibles auctions with public results and provenance.
Established dealersSpecialist sealed dealers with a long record and return policies.
Private collectionsDirect purchases, checked for provenance before payment.
Authenticated marketplacesPlatforms that vault and verify product before it changes hands.

Every purchase needs provenance and authentication before it joins the treasury, whatever the source.

THE TREASURY-TOKEN MODEL

The idea

Strategy (MSTR) put Bitcoin on its balance sheet and became the public way to follow it. $SEALED applies the treasury idea to sealed Pokémon: fees in, scarce product held, everything published.

The difference

MSTR is a listed company. Its shareholders own equity, with legal rights and audited filings. $SEALED holders don't own the treasury, can't redeem tokens for product, and have no claim on the boxes. The token's price is set by the market.
